If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our services.

These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying customers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services.

By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. Nature of Services

Japan Scholarships Academy provides educational and informational services, which may include but are not limited to:

• Online self-paced courses
• One-on-one consultations or mentoring sessions
• Document review and feedback
• Mock interviews
• Downloadable educational materials
• Access to learning resources and community features

All services are provided for educational purposes only.

4. Scholarship Selection and Third-Party Decisions

We are committed to clear, practical education and honest guidance. Scholarship selection, university admission, visa approval, and similar decisions are made by government agencies, universities, and other third parties—not by Japan Scholarships Academy.

Because those outcomes depend on eligibility, competition, timing, and factors outside our control, we cannot promise that you will be selected for any scholarship, admitted to any institution, or granted any visa or funding.

• Selection or acceptance into any scholarship, university, or program
• Success in examinations, interviews, or application processes
• Approval of visas, funding, or financial aid
• Any specific academic, professional, or personal outcome

Your results still depend heavily on your own effort and circumstances. These Terms simply clarify the limits of what any educational provider can responsibly promise about third-party decisions.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Use the services for lawful purposes only
• Not copy, distribute, resell, or misuse our content
• Not engage in behavior that disrupts or harms the platform or other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these obligations are violated.

6. Payments and Pricing

• All payments are one-time payments processed exclusively via Stripe
• Prices are listed in USD
• You are responsible for any applicable taxes, currency conversion fees, or bank charges imposed by your payment provider
• We do not store or process payment card information directly
• All paid courses include a 30 day money back guarantee for all courses, subject to Section 7 (Refund Policy)

7. Refund Policy

Japan Scholarships Academy offers a 30 day money back guarantee for all courses. Refunds are handled fairly according to the rules below. We will only decline a refund when a request falls outside these rules (for example, after the 30-day window or when a scholarship was already awarded—see below).

Eligibility (within 30 days of purchase)

• Course completed within 30 days: If you complete 100% of the enrolled course within 30 days of purchase and request a refund within that same 30-day period, you are eligible for a full refund.
• Course not completed: If you have not completed the full course and you request a refund within 30 days of purchase, we will refund 50% of the amount you paid for that course.
• Scholarship awarded after enrollment: If you receive the scholarship (or equivalent award) covered by your course after enrolling, you are not eligible for a refund—we consider our commitment fulfilled in that case.
• After 30 days: Refund requests made more than 30 days after purchase are not eligible for any refund, regardless of completion status.

"Complete" means you have finished all required modules and materials defined for your enrolled course on the platform, as recorded in your account at the time of your request.

Approved refunds are:

• Processed via Stripe
• Returned to the original payment method
• Subject to Stripe's processing timelines and policies

To request a refund, contact us with your account email and order details. We will confirm eligibility based on the criteria above and your course activity records.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, including but not limited to:

• Course materials
• Videos
• Text
• Graphics
• Documents
• Branding and logos

is the exclusive property of Japan Scholarships Academy and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the content solely for personal, educational use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Japan Scholarships Academy shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

• Use or inability to use the services
• Reliance on educational content
• Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
• Decisions made by third-party institutions

Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Disclaimer

All services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

11. Third-Party Services

Our platform may integrate or rely on third-party services (e.g., Stripe).

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or actions of such third parties.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services at our discretion, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international commercial principles, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration or competent courts, as determined by Japan Scholarships Academy.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
